Everyone knows it's the capital of Westeros, but did you know Dubrovnik was an actual state, that was de facto independet from 27. May 1358. untill 26.May 1806. Republic of Dubrovnik was famous beacuse it had trading colonies in Constantinople, Thessaloniki, Drinopolje, Belgrade, Sofia, Bucharest, Sarajevo and other cities on the Balkan Peninsula. Each colony had its own consul and its own special commercial court, as well as a church, a hospital and a cemetery.
Dubrovnik's trading colonies were also in Italy: Venice, Ancona, Florence, Syracuse, Messina and Palermo; Asia Minor (Smyrna and Brusa), and even Egypt (Alexandria and Cairo). These colonies mediate trade between their surroundings and Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik's trade was mostly transitory. The people of Dubrovnik transported natural products from the east to the European west, and sold handicrafts (mostly Italian) in the east.

Dubrovnik was also first to abolish slavery and first to recognize USA as free country, as well as first european pharmacy that ever came into being.
World’s most famous walls that surround Dubrovnik City are under UNESCO heritage protection, and number one location to visit in Dubrovnik. It's pedestrian-only roads help maintain the historically preserved atmosphere, they date back to the 16th Century, and un nearly 2km around the Old City.

Our trip begins with modern, comfortable, climatized mini bus leaving Split (Podstrana or Trogir) about 8 am. About 2h – 2h 30 min, (depending on trafic) of driving on hihgway, we are arriving at Kings Landing. By arriving we can secure our Guests personal guide that will introduce them with citys history (and present day), or/and Game of Thrones theme tour. We are happy to provide information about best locations to sightsee, as well as tips for restaurants (that are not a tourist trap but real deal). Number one thing to do is definitely is walk on the city walls, as well as Stradun street, but we are living up to you to decide.
